After six years of specialized training and research at Brooke Army Medical Center, one of the country’s most renowned Army training facilities and five years of active duty military service stationed at Fort Hood, Dr. Waldrep is pleased to bring his patient-oriented, results-driven approach to general surgery home to Dallas.

About Dr. Waldrep

A Dallas native, an Army surgeon, and a family man.

Dr. Waldrep is a board-certified general surgeon at Medical City Dallas. He is certified on the da Vinci Surgical System, which allows him to complete complex, minimally invasive procedures with minimal downtime.

Born and raised in Dallas, Dr. Waldrep graduated near the top of class at St. Mark’s School of Texas. He attended Duke University where he joined ROTC and studied Economics and Biology. Although, Dr. Waldrep’s interest in medicine and patient care developed at an early age, it was his desire to lead through service and sacrifice that led to his decision to serve in the United States Army.

After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Waldrep returned home to Dallas, to attend the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where he graduated in the top third of his class.
